Pam McGrath's Ministry

The Reverend Pam McGrath serves as associate pastor of Southern Hills Christian Church, Edmond, Oklahoma. She leads a Contemporary Service there each Sunday at 11:30am.

Previously, she was the sole pastor of Brookhaven Christian Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

As part of her ministry, she offers her storytelling to groups of all kinds and sizes—and in all parts of the U.S.

Pam had the honor of being chosen as the first "featured local pastor" for the annual Minister's Week at Phillips Theological Seminary, Pam's alma mater. Her sermon, "Straddling the Abyss," is below:

The text for Pam's sermon is Matthew 5:13–16, "Salt and Light":

 ‘You are the salt of the earth; but if salt has lost its taste, how can its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything, but is thrown out and trampled under foot.
 
‘You are the light of the world. A city built on a hill cannot be hidden. No one after lighting a lamp puts it under the bushel basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven."
